Let’s Live In The Courage That God Gives: The Lord Is The Lion Of Judah!

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:9 – Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Why We Need Courage

When a child of God lives according to the Word of God, they will go through many hardships including persecution, hatred, anger, and emotional or even physical abuse from others. We will also see the worst in people and what this world has to offer to others. We will also go through many temptations that the devil will try to use to make us stumble.

This is because there are many people out there that hate that there is a God or do not want to come to terms that God exists. Or they wish to live according to their own terms and rules rather than another’s rules. Some dismiss God because, according to their lives, they have suffered through many pains and hardship at the hand of God or that others around them have and God never helped.

Many don’t understand how a loving God can allow so much suffering (if God has allowed free choice/will for you, that means there will also be pain and suffering; free choice = possibility of evil and suffering based on your choices). This fuels their hatred towards God and all that decide to follow Him. Here we must remember that Jesus says in John 15:20 that if they hated and persecuted Him, they will do the same to us.

Jesus never tells us that it will be an easy walk, but He does say that He will help carry the load. That is why He tells us to lay our burdens on Him and He will give us rest  and help, Matthew 11:28. Another passage is John 16:33, which says, “these things I have spoken unto you, that you might have peace, in this world, you will have tribulation but be in good cheer, for I have overcome the world.” It is a reminder that if He has overcome He can help you overcome it as well.

In Deuteronomy 31 He tells Joshua to not worry or be afraid for God is with him. In fact, God tells him to be strong and of good courage and fear not. And the reason He tells him this is because God is with him and He will not fail or forsake him. Remember this: no matter what you go through, if you are His child, He will never let you go and He will always be with you and never forsake you.

In your time of need and hardship remember this, that we can base our strength and courage on God who is always with us to the end. Stand firm in Him and have the trust and faith to know that He is in control. And make sure you heed to God and not have an evil heart of unbelief for His will and path for your life Hebrew 3:12.

Stay Strong With Courage

Psalms 27:14 – Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Deuteronomy 30:19 – I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Stay strong and wait on God. If we wait, He will give strength to our hearts, so let’s be of good courage and move forward with God (Psalms 27:14). But for God to strengthen your heart and mine we must stay in good courage, that is the requirement. We can stay in good courage, for we know that God is with us and He will not forsake us.

2 Timothy tells us that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. If this is so, which we know the Word of God to be true, then we must live in the power and love of God and have a mind that is sound and controlled by God’s Word. If we live in this then we will always be in good courage and strengthened by Him during times of trouble.

Remember this: in Deuternomy 30, God sets before His people life and death, blessing and cursing, and He tells them to choose life so that they may see life and their seed may too. Today is your day as well. CHOOSE.

What do you choose? Life and blessing or death and curses?

Depending on what you choose, it shall determine where your eternal soul shall stand. Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Chris, our Lord. If you have not chosen Christ, today is the day. The question comes, what do you choose? So stay strong if you have chosen Christ as your Lord and master for then your eternal gift is everlasting life with God.

Why Their Is Emptiness In Courage In Others

Acts 5:29 – Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

One reason many today are without good courage and strength from the Lord, even when they call themselves children of God, is because they obey and listen to the world and not God. They hope that their friends, family, and coworkers will never leave them. They hope and trust in what the world has to offer rather than what God offers.

Acts 5 tells us about the apostles when they were being persecuted for teaching and doing the work of God, and they responded back by saying, “we need to obey God rather than men.”

You and I must realize that if we call ourselves sons and daughters of the living God then we must obey God. And if we do, we will see the strength of God living through us, through the Holy Spirit.

This will bring in our lives the character of good courage and having true faith in God for He is always with us. Never forget that. If we maintain that understanding in our life we will always be cheerful and full of courage for we know that the almighty God is with us. And doubt has no place in our lives.

Give Glory to God in the Highest.

If you have been struggling in courage and strength, I call you to a simple but sincere prayer.

Ask God to help you receive the faith in Jesus Christ and to know that God is always with you and will never forsake you, no matter what situations and tribulations you might go through.  So that you can live in the good courage that our living God gives us in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

May the peace and strength of God be with you and God Bless.
